I decided that this song was to be the theme of my running the New Orleans AidsMarathon. Please visit the web page below and read all about it. You can donate there too.

12/20 Yesterday I ran (and I use that term loosely) 20 FREAKING MILES. It was really, really hard and I basically limped the last mile. Oh, and it took me over 6 hours. (How long will it take you to solicit $10 from your friends?) woops, was that out loud? While I am sore as a you know what today, it feels really good to be part of this. And I'm amazed. I was actually the cheerleader yesterday, encouraging peers to keep going (in an obnoxious way of course). And then I went home, ate macaroni and cheese and went to bed without taking a shower (ewwww) at 7 pm.

12/11 Today was what's called a 'recovery run'. I ran/walked 8 miles. It's pretty darn funny that it was kinda easy. Compared to the 14 I ran/walked a few weeks ago. Man, *that* kicked my behind. Next week I will be run/walk/crawling 20 bloody miles. It was a another gorgeous day out by the ocean, the waves were amazing today. And the park was once again beautiful. I forget that we do actually have trees that turn colors out here in California.

To date I have raised $1874. I want to again thank Nicole, John, Lauren, Victor, Cal, Bob, Crystal, Dick, Rikk, Eddie, CAI, Angela and Robert for their financial support! And since my last update, I've raise another $1000 thanks to Krista, Bob, Tom, Brad, Larry, Joan, Dayle, Robin, Kathy, Moana, Lawerence, Bob, Joyce, Chris, Alice, Tonja, David, Sandra, Lisa, Elisa, Andrea and Scott. Thank you so much for your support. And to those who haven't yet shown up on my website, thanks to you too!!

As a reminder, if you come out and pass out water I'll get another $20. towards my goal. I'm sure that help will be needed for the 20 mile run this weekend. I'll be running in Berkeley on the 19th for those who are so inclined.

I've still got a ways to go! In order for me to be able to run in New Orleans in February, I need to raise a minimum of $3000. by December 31st. So for those of you who haven't yet donated and are able to, please help me reach my goal! Donations can be made at www.aidsmarathon.com My runner number is 6188 in San Francisco.

And here is a blurb you can pass on to your friends!

>>Hey friend! My friend Cynthia is running the New Orleans Aids Marathon. She is humbly asking for $5 donations so she can make her goal and run in New Orleans. Proceeds will benefit the San Francisco Aids Foundation. For more information about this amazing event go to www.aidsmarathon.com Cynthia is runner number 6188 in San Francisco. <<

I'm feeling the love, baby. Keep it comin'!!

And it feels good to be a part of something big. Our group has raised more than $70,000. to help the San Francisco Aids Foundation.

I am having some trouble reaching my goal...so I'm thinking that if everyone who can donates just $5. I will come closer to my goal.

I can also get a $20 'credit' towards my goal if you can come out and hand out water to the runners one Saturday morning. I'm also open to some creative ways to make money...introducing myself at your gatherings, having DJ friends allow me a booth of some kind or some such thing.

That said...if you can...go to www.aidsmarathon.com My runner number in SF is 6188.

I really want to get back in shape. I figured 42 is as good a time as any. The orientation meetings are coming up and training starts on September 18th. Good lord, what have I gotten myself into. Who else out there is running? Invite your friends to join this tribe and get this party started!
